Here is the Emerald City Comicon 2013, in comic form, at least as we experienced it:
Your experience of ECCC may have varied.
Evelyn and I had a fantastic time.
We dressed up as Doctor Strange and the Scarlet Witch.
We met lots of great comics people. Saw tons of vendors we know and love.
Bought way, way too much stuff. (Can you have too many comics??)
The show sold out all 3 days.
I heard people say there were 20,000 people there. I think I bumped into at least 10,000 of them. Sorry about that.
May put up some more personal pictures later, or on Facebook.
So much Geeky energy gives me all sorts of Geeky ideas.
Got to get to work.
Thanks to everybody who worked so hard to put on the show, to show things at the show, to attend the show. It really is a very friendly group of people.
ECCC 2013 was a Huge Success!

Supreme Costuming
Hey, check out the incredible Doctor Strange costume I'll be wearing at Emerald City Comicon this weekend! By the Sibilant Spires of Seattle's Space Needle, there will be a Sorcerer Supreme at the Show!
Evelyn made the whole thing for me, using her Custom Gear skills. And it looks great.
I added a little Photoshop Magic to the mix just to show off how cool the outfit is.
I hear Evelyn has a Scarlet Witch outfit in the works, so we should make a very mystical couple at the ECCC this year.
Evelyn has a few other Custom Outfits in the works for some lucky Geekery customers. But I will leave it up to them how much or how little they want to show off here on the website.
You can get Custom Gear as well. Just drop Evelyn a note and tell her what you have in mind.
See you at the show,
Jay "Sorcerer Supreme" Larsen

If you’re geeky about Cosplay, then this is for you.
By Lady Evelyn
I have been working on a commission piece this week. A ‘Vampire Knight’ jacket and skirt for a
Cosplay geek. Many anime and manga
characters are girls in school uniforms.
And many costume shops and on-line stores sell these outfits at a
premium. The fabrics are cheap; they are laughably plastic and they over charge for something that won’t hold up
well at a con.
My Vampire Knight turned out pretty well I think. The fabric is a poly-cotton mix that is a
medium weight. This makes it easy to
care for as it won’t shrink or wrinkle.
The pleating is stitched in to hold the shape, and a rugged zipper in
the front makes it easy to use. So my client can pack
it up and travel to that event knowing she'll look fabulous when she arrives in
her Custom LarsenGeekery Vampire Knight suit.

Wear What You Geek
By Lady Evelyn
I have been
in the real estate world for over 10 years now.
And as this industry has become more and more politically charged; I
have decided to add to my portfolio in a unique and diverse way. Thus the launch of a new career at Larsen Geekery
I am inspired passionately by only a few things in this world. My husband Jay and children Siona and Chani
first and foremost bring me that joy. But sewing has always been in my life and
also brought me a great deal of delight and satisfaction.
My
idea of fun is to create new classical fashion designs that are wearable for
everyday life. I make creative fun clothing and accessories that are Steampunk
Geekery. Historical styles to
incorporate in your geekey convention and cosplay fun or classic pieces to just
geek out in. Think fashion forward for everyday geekery.
We
will be blogging about new crafty designs and some old ones as well. At
LarsenGeekery.com we will be demonstrating crafts and construction tips,
highlighting new creations and retailing some of our Steampunk Geekery and
other fashion product lines. We’ll
see you online and at the cons!
So bring your geek on!
