Lucky for You, He Eats Bamboo! Now Available

Lucky for you, Jay's latest watercolor painting is available on Etsy--CLICK NOW.
It's a beauty and tells a tale of fairy warriors and good natured pandas.

There is only one original, but Lucky for You there are lots of greeting cards.

They are smaller than the Giant Panda original.
And they won't impress nearly as much as hanging a LarsenGeekery original on your walls.
But they are easier to pop into the mail.

Go get a Card or two!

There are lots of Cards, Original Art, Posters, Bags and more, all on the LarsenGeekery Etsy Store.

And don't forget:

Greeting Cards that Stand Out this Holiday Season

Everybody ready for the Holiday Tug of War?
You know the one: I want to genuinely celebrate the holidays, but I hate feeling all commercial.
No?  Well Never Mind then.

Anyway, LarsenGeekery has a slew of Greeting Cards for that hard to please Geek in your life. And even more cards for those easy to please Geeks in your life.
Some of them are even Holiday Themed, like this beauty.

So go to our Etsy Store and browse the Greeting Card Selection.  Pick out a few and order them.
Then you can relax into that Turkey and Eggnog induced "long winters nap" or run out in a shopping frenzy on Black Friday (which ever you prefer), confident that you at least have some great cards to share with friends and family.

New Goodies for Show Season

Cheer up Geeks!
If you live in the Pacific Northwest there are lots of great events coming up soon.
LarsenGeekery has new goodies for you.
You can get them at one of our shows (See the Show Schedule).
Or you can get some of them at our online shop.

First off, we have some lovely new Greeting Cards.  They are reproductions of a series of watercolor paintings I've been working on called Mask Variations.  You can purchase the whole series or get individual cards.

You will also want to reward the great Geeks in your life with the new Golden Geekery Award.

And then we have some incredible laser-cut Geek pendants which can be configured as a killer key chain, a fabulous phone fob, or nerdy necklace.  Godzilla says Get One at the Shows, because we haven't decided whether to put them online or not.  (Actually Godzilla said, "WrrrrrRRRRRaAAkKKK!"  but you know what he means.)  Get Your Geek On!

So, like Godzilla said, you've got lots of great reasons to come see us at a show or online.
See you soon,
--Jay

Robots are Taking Over, and That's OK

The Robots are taking over here at LarsenGeekery, and we are OK with that!

My latest piece is called, The Battle in Seattle.  And it depicts that famous retro futuristic robot battle that stressed Seattle to the limits in that Historical Future that hasn't happened yet, but should.

You can get Greeting Cards of the Robot Battle at our Etsy Store.

You can also get the Repair, Reuse, Recycle Robots for the Resistance, that I posted earlier, at the Etsy Store as well.

Robots everywhere!  Cool...

Count Down to Geek Fest 2012

Only a few more days until our next live show,  Geek Fest 2012, a concert and vendor fair put on by Seattle Browncoats Charities.  Spirited music, spirited performances and Spirited Shopping in Shoreline, WA.

Shoreline Conference Center, 18560 1st Ave NE, Shoreline, WA 98155 on December 15 & 16, 2012. Hours: Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

We will be there with all our best Geekery Gear: Coffee Hero Cards, Prints, Comics, Bags, Hoodies, etc., etc., etc...  Oh, and there will be music and other vendors as well.

New Coffee Hero (of Canton) Greeting Card

Just finished designing a new Coffee Hero Greeting Card just in time for Geek Fest 2012, a concert and vendor fair put on by Seattle Browncoats Charities.
The show will be in Shoreline, WA this year, and it has expanded to two full days.

Shoreline Conference Center, 18560 1st Ave NE, Shoreline, WA 98155 on December 15 & 16, 2012. Hours: Saturday: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Sunday: 10 a.m. – 5 p.m.

This Coffee Hero Card available in our Etsy Store and we will be bringing some to the show.

This year is also the 10th Anniversary of Firefly, the Joss Whedon TV Show that featured the irascible Jayne Cobb, the Hero of Canton and owner of the most famous hat in all of Geekdom, the Jayne Hat.

I hope the Browncoats like the design.

And although Jayne Cobb drinks his coffee with Xiongmao Niao, I don't recommend it.  Only Mudders drink that stuff.

If You Like to Plan Ahead...

I know, I know.  Halloween is barely over and we haven't had our turkey day yet.  But Christmas and those other Holidays are right around the proverbial calendar corner.  So if you are the kind of person that likes to plan ahead (or if you would like to be that kind of person), now is the time to get your Holiday Cards.
Sure you could wait until the last minute and pick up a pack of mass-produced cards with boring designs at the local big box store.
Or, you could support local independent artists and order a stack of LarsenGeekery Holiday Cards with a design guaranteed not to be on Walmart shelves this year.

Each card has a Jay Larsen original design of an underwater holiday scene with a vintage diver playing Santa to a candy-cane colored octopus under the watchful eye of a certain submarine made famous by a certain book and movie.
The cards are blank inside, so you can customize your message.  And each card comes with matching envelope and comes inside a crystal clear bag to make sure everything is clean and bright when you get it, no matter how far we have to ship it.

So what are you waiting for?  Gather round the Holiday Coral Tree and get some Geeky Cards to make your Holiday Season happy and bright.
If you only need a few, order from our Etsy Store.
If you need a lot, Contact Us Directly.
We will make sure Santa gets your cards to you at a reasonable price.

And now the fine print:
(Submarine Delivery not available in all areas.  LarsenGeekery reserves the right to substitute USPS delivery.  Greeting Cards are not waterproof and should not be submerged for any period of time.  Respect the environment, don't collect coral to make your Christmas Tree.  Octopus not actually made of peppermint.)
