Some GeekGirlCon'13 Pictures

Presenting the Larsen Family Adventures at GeekGirlCon'13.

Saw lots of old friends and a few bags and pouches from last year as well (that's quality).
Met tons of new friends.  Booth 304 was full of happy geeky people all weekened.
It was so much fun show our new art and gear to so many people.
Evelyn's bags flew off the rack.  And I couldn't keep the Doctor Who art in stock.
We handed out Golden Geekery Awards to everyone we could.
And you all shared your wonderful costumes and your incredible positive attitudes.
Our daughters, Chani and Siona, came and even helped out in the booth.
You guys are the reason why we make all our Geekery Gear.
Thanks for a fantastic show.

Oh, and the Staff at GeekGirlCon was excellent.
One of the best run shows on the West Coast.

Neal Stephenson is going to be there, plus lots of artists and vendors.

Keep on Geekin'

Hey Toto, Welcome Back to Kansas

GeekGirlCon was so phenomenal, that it is hard to transition back to "normal" life.
Everyone at GGC were sooooo friendly and fun.  But in the "real world" people seem grumpy.
People look at you funny if you ask them what character they are cos-playing at the grocery store.
So I'd rather live in Geek World all the time.  There is a much higher percentage chance of meeting interesting people there.

The entire LarsenGeekery Family had a fantastic time and met so many incredible people.
We will try to get a more comprehensive and comprehendable post up here in the next day or so.
But we just want to say, Thank You Geeks for making GeekGirlCon Amazing!  And thanks to everybody that stopped by our Booth.

More later...

GeekGirlCon 13 is Right Around the Corner

Our next show is right around the corner

October 19 & 20th 2013, GeekGirlCon 13 - Seattle WA

GeekGirlCon is an amazing show for guys and gals with a focus on all things Geek from the point of view of girls and women.
Evelyn and I attended the very first GeekGirlCon two years ago and made up our minds to show at the very next one.  Last year's show was the highlight of our Show Schedule.  We had a blast and met so many fun and interesting people.  We made friends with people we can't imagine living without.

So we are very excited about sharing our interests and wares with GeekGirlCon again this year.
The studio has been a busy, busy place as we have been finishing up gear to bring to the show.

In addition to the two full days of programming, events, shopping and socializing that is the GeekGirlCon main event, there are also extra events, parties, concerts, etc.  So check out the GeekGirlCon website, reserve some tickets while they are still available, and look at all the great guests and events.  Bring your kids, it is an all ages show.

LarsenGeekery will see you there in Booth 304

No Time Machine Needed

You don't need a time machine to geek out with us at some great geek shows.
You just have to go to Bellingham this Saturday,
Or Seattle the weekend after next.
Or to Tacoma...
You get the idea, Here is our Show Schedule:

October 19 & 20th 2013, GeekGirlCon 13 - Seattle WA
November 2nd 2013, Jet City Comic Show 13 - Tacoma WA

But if you want a TARDIS Greeting Card, you don't have to go to a show
(although I highly recommend it).  You can get one from our Etsy Shop as well.

I've got a bunch of new art work, prints, cards even some original art to share with you.
Evelyn has her great purses and bags as well as patches you can put on your own gear.
And we have some fun new magnets, Geek key chains and necklaces, and lots more.

So, come and see us at a show.

LarsenGeekery has new goodies for you.
You can get them at one of our shows (See the Show Schedule).

You will also want to reward the great Geeks in your life with the new Golden Geekery Award.

And then we have some incredible laser-cut Geek pendants which can be configured as a killer key chain, a fabulous phone fob, or nerdy necklace.  Godzilla says Get One at the Shows, because we haven't decided whether to put them online or not.  (Actually Godzilla said, "WrrrrrRRRRRaAAkKKK!"  but you know what he means.)  Get Your Geek On!

That always seemed a bit harsh to me.
There are better ways to deal with illusion...

Day 5 (x7) Countdown: Space Edition

5 Days to go until Blast Off!
The mini countdown continues.
5 Days to go until  GeekGirlCon '12.
And this 5x7 mini will be waiting in Booth 307,  the LarsenGeekery Booth.

As a salute to NASA and the successful Curiosity Mars Rover Landing, LarsenGeekery presents a portrait of the first Monkey Moon Landing.
Everyone knows America sent monkeys into space before we sent human astronauts.
But few people know that monkeys were the first to land on the moon.  And this image is "proof" that such a monkey mission of exploration can be captured and transmitted on the Internet.
Although some people suspect that these images were produced in a studio somewhere near Arlington WA and not on the moon at all!  But we don't give into conspiracy theorists around here.  We choose to believe in monkey astronauts because the world would be a less interesting place without them.

Space exploration is Cool!  And we should be doing more of it!
Congratulations NASA!

Hot Six! Countdown to Meltdown!

The mini countdown continues.
6 Days to go until  GeekGirlCon '12.
And this 5x7 mini will be waiting in Booth 307, the LarsenGeekery Booth.
Prove how cool you are and take it home with you.

It was soooo hot around here, we tried to get Doctor Doom to chill out with some ice cream.
But you can see the results for yourself.

Seven Strange Days To Go

The mini countdown continues.
7 Days to go until  GeekGirlCon '12.
And this 5x7 mini will be waiting in Booth 307, That's a lot of 7s!.  Doctor Strange, Sorcerer Supreme of miniature watercolors.

Strange's magic is so powerful he has temporarily escaped the bonds of his black mat.
Fear not, he will be recaptured and ready for framing by show time, Comic Fans.

8 = Countdown Current Condition

The mini countdown continues.
8 Days to go until  GeekGirlCon '12.
And this 5x7 mini will be waiting in Booth 307,  The Official Booth of Human Equality and Robot Superiority: LarsenGeekery.

Fear not, Humans, there will be more than Jay's Artwork at the Geekery Booth.
Evelyn has been producing fine hand-crafted items, especially bags of various kinds to carry Jay's comics and artwork home in.

The Samurai Back Packs want the Skirts to quit flirting and cultivate some discipline.
The World Map Purse wants to travel.
The Cosmic Bag has just been spacing out.
The Dice Bags have been...well, kind of dicey...
And the TARDIS Bags are threatening to demonstrate what happens when you park one TARDIS inside another TARDIS if we don't give them the coordinates for the GeekGirlShow so they can go there NOW!
But I just keep tagging them and putting them into boxes, so that muffles their complaints some what.

Come meet them all and adopt a few at the Show, August 11th & 12th in Seattle.
See you there,
Jay

9 Days To Go....

The mini countdown continues.
9 Days to go until  GeekGirlCon '12.
And this electric 5x7 mini will be waiting in Booth 307,  The Official Booth of LarsenGeekery.

It's the first day of August, and....

Evelyn's sewing machine has been running over time.  There are bags that are bigger on the inside than they are on the outside.  There are pouches and bustles and skirts and shirts.... There is a lot of stuff.  Hopefully we can squeeze it all into one booth.  And hopefully the booth will be empty by the end of the show.
August 11th & 12th.
